ABSTRACT

The prophet Muhammad (pbuh), the last prophet and also the leader of Islamic
geography, is a universal leader who influenced all over the world from the sixth century
onward. While he is the last prophet for Muslims, for the followers of other ideologies
and religions he is a great person who changed and reshaped the history. However,
throughout history in the West the prophet Muhammad has been introduced and
spoken of through the qualifications he did not possess. This discourse has a content
decorated with negative elements and fed with prejudices. One of the reasons, maybe the
most important, for the negative image about the Prophet Muhammad is arisen from the
fact that the points concerning him have not been dealt with sufficiently and not based
on the sources. Whereas, the life, words and deeds of the Last Prophet is so full of a wide
and rich materials that every question find its answer if asked.
